How MVR Monitor^® Works

  When one of your fleet drivers has an infraction, either from conviction of a motor vehicle offense or due to a change in their driver license status, your fleet’s liability exposure increases.  Companies that run annual MVR campaigns may have up to a 365 day gap between a driver’s infraction and when it becomes visible to your fleet team.  With MVR Monitor, that gap is reduced to as little as 48 hours, enabling you to greatly decrease your fleet risk exposure.

  Rather than run a new MVR for a driver as part of an annual campaign, CEI’s MVR Monitor system interacts with state motor vehicle databases to capture events lodged against a driver’s license.  We will manage completion of all documentation according to each state’s requirements for accessing their database.  CEI handles the administratively burdensome work to keep your fleet compliant with the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), data privacy, and other MVR-related regulations.

  States record license status changes and motor vehicle convictions on a driver’s record according to their standard reporting timelines which vary state to state and based on the kind of conviction.  When MVR Monitor detects an event, our DriverCare system automatically orders an updated MVR for the driver.  Once the updated MVR is received, CEI’s system normalizes the state coding and feeds the information into the driver’s risk profile immediately.

  When your driver’s risk profiles are updated DriverCare triggers alerts to your designated stakeholders and driver training assignments based on your specific policies.  You can designate which event types should have a higher point value, which stakeholders should be notified and when.  Drivers can be segmented out by point values for actionable reporting.  All events are immediately remediated, and driver compliance is tracked and reported to you.
