Schaumburg, IL, November 10, 2016— Four experts in automotive fleet safety addressed some of the latest developments and trends in fleet safety, including telematics, predictive analytics, negligent entrustment, distracted driving and onboard crash prevention technology, at a free seminar conducted by the CEI Group, Inc. at the Renaissance Schaumburg Conference Center Hotel today.

Hosted by Sean O’Malley, CEI’s Midwest regional sales manager, the seminar featured the following   topics and speakers:

  • “The Fleet Sleeper Issue: Negligent Entrustment and Retention” – Judge Brian MacKenzie (retired), Co-Founder, Justice Speakers Institute
  •  “Making the Case for Attentive Driving ” – Kelly Nantel, Vice President for Communications and Advocacy, National Safety Council
  • “Crash Avoidance Technology: Assessing the Building Blocks for Tomorrow’s Driverless Vehicles” – Dr. Jessica Cicchino, Vice President of Research, Insurance Institute for Highway Safety

“With highway fatalities rising at the fastest rate in 50 years, it’s more important than ever that fleets take full advantage of all of the latest advances in automotive safety, and understand how to protect themselves against liability,” said Mr. O’Malley.

Attendees included fleet, human resources and risk managers from across the Midwest United States.
