Trevose, PA, July 17, 2014 – Customized “micro-targeted” communications can help reduce fleet driver distractions and prevent the accidents they cause. That’s the message to be delivered by Ken Latzko of the CEI Group, Inc. (CEI) at the 2014 Fleet Safety Conference to be held in Schaumburg, Illinois next week.

Ken Latzko, CEI’s Southeast regional sales manager, will make his remarks during a breakout session entitled “How to Help Drivers Deal with In-Vehicle Distractions.”

“Distracted driving has emerged as one of the leading causes of highway accidents nationwide and our hope at the Fleet Safety Conference is to get a better handle on ways to help mitigate this risk”, Mr. Latzko said in advance of the event.

“CEI has found that communications that reflect a company’s unique culture, brand and safety experience are more impactful and memorable,” Mr. Latzko said. While an effective micro-targeted campaign requires an investment of time and money, drivers report that the messages stick with them much better than universal safety communications, Mr. Latzko said.

The conference is organized by Bobit Business Media, publisher of Automotive Fleet and other fleet industry publications. It will be held at the Renaissance Schaumburg Convention Center Hotel in Schaumburg, IL July 22-23.  For more information about the conference, please visit www.fleetsafetyconference.com.
