Trevose, PA, February 6, 2014 – Employees of The CEI Group, Inc. (CEI) have donated $1,275 to the Barkann Family Healing Hearts Foundation this past holiday season, the company’s employee volunteer committee announced.
Christina Singer, coordinator of CEI’s Fish Team committee, said the donation marks the 11th straight year that the company’s employees have given to charities for Holiday Season, and pushes its total donations to more than $20,000 over that time. She said this year the committee raised the funds through raffles of two pairs of tickets, one each to a Philadelphia Eagles NFL football and a Philadelphia Flyers NHL hockey game, provided by the foundation.
Ms. Singer, a business process improvement leader at CEI, said the donation marked the eighth consecutive year the company’s volunteer Fish Team has made Holiday Season charitable donations.
Founded by Ellen Barkann, wife of Philadelphia television sports show host Michael Barkann, provides financial aid to families in need due to adversity or tragedy, including the sudden death of an of a parent, long-term illness of a child, or the loss of a home because of fire, flood or disaster.
